Situated in the peaceful lakeland village of Thornthwaite, just
three miles from the bustling town of Keswick
, Jenkin Hill
Cottage is a small, friendly and informal guest house
catering exclusively for non-smokers and specialising in
the provision of gluten-free meals.
Although we can provide just bed and breakfast for those who require
it, most of our guests also have the four course home cooked evening
meals. There are two good quality guest bedrooms, one double with full
en-suite bathroom (with over-bath shower) and one which can be
set up as a twin or king size double and has an en-suite shower
room.
The bedrooms look out over the wooded slopes of Seat
How, part of Whinlatter Forest.
Both rooms have double glazed windows,
central heating and heated towel rails and are equipped with remote
control digital TV, DVD player, radio alarm and hot drink facilities.
There are no facilities for children.
A collection of Lake District books is available for guests to
peruse, and information on local attractions and events is freely
available. Wi-Fi broadband is available throughout the house for
those who require internet access.
Jenkin Hill Cottage has the benefit
of a car park and lovely, well stocked award winning gardens.
The guest house has been given a four stars grade by the English
Tourism Council plus a Silver Award for quality. |
